The ProJet® steam sparger is a compact, versatile, and easy-to-install hot water heater with a simple tank mount design. It features a unique 2-stage self-modulating steam flow control system that maintains stable and quiet operation through a wide range of operation. The ProJet is an excellent upgrade for underperforming sparge nozzles, sparge tubes, and steam ejectors.
Where Should I Mount the ProJet?
To get the most out of your ProJet, consider the following mounting guidelines:
- Location Matters: Install the sparger in an area where there’s water flow movement. Either natural water movement or via agitation.
- Mounting Options: The ProJet sparger can be side mounted on the tank or installed from the top, extending down into the fluid. The ProJet can be attached to the tank wall with an NPT coupling, a threaded flange, or using the Prosonix Tank extension to move the sparger further into the tank.
- Height Requirements: Ideally, the ProJet sparger is at least 12 inches above the tank floor.
- Positioning: Aim to mount the jet sparger in the lower third of the tank height to maintain a consistent liquid level above it.
- Sensor Placement: Place your temperature probe in a non-stagnant area with temperature close to the tank average.
Optional ProJet Sparger Extension
Prosonix offers a mounting extension to extend the sparger further into the tank if desired. The extension is available in various lengths to accommodate different tank sizes.
